18th of July

Hi everyone, a couple of days ago I got a telephone call from DRI asking if I could go to the hospital to have my PEG out, I was shocked because the last time I was with Dr Foran she did say she wanted to weigh me again in 3 weeks to see if I had maintained my weight, I asked who had put the request forward and the lady answered Dr Foran, I explained why I was questioning and I was told, this is when we can fit you in so yesterday I had my trusty Peggy removed.

My friend Wendy and Jason came to the hospital and Wendy held my hand while it was taken out, it was just pulled out no numbing or drugs were used just a consultant gave it a good old pull and it came out. I was scared but to be honest it's over in seconds and it stings a bit but nothing like I thought, so if anyone is in the same situation please don't be scared it's fine 24 hours later and it's healing lovely so swimming here I come with my beautiful babies xxx

I'm managing to eat lots more food now which is making things easier, still need food to be covered in gravy or sauce as it just makes food more enjoyable.

Today has been an extra special day because Franchesca has wanted her ears pierced since she was 5 and I made her wait till she was 10 but she wanted to wait till the 6 week holidays to have them done so she didn't have to cover them up with plasters anyway we've been today and she has had them pierced.

Making memories..... perfect

I've still no results of my MRI but as they say no news is good news.

Love to you all

7th of July

Hi everyone, I must start by saying I'm so sorry I've not blogged for such a long time, it's been a funny few weeks.

Last time I blogged I was saying how much stronger I was feeling which was right then all of a sudden I started to go downhill felt very unwell, I was eating very little and when I tried eating or putting anything down my PEG I was sick this went on for a couple of weeks so in the end I phoned Weston Park who told me to phone the GPs straight away and ask for urgent and bloods to be taken. GP wanted me to go to hospital (DRI) for my bloods to be taken as it would be quicker. The doctor also said if the blood department was closed I was to go to A&E.

Dad took me, unfortunately it was closed so A&E we went but I of course we had to wait to be seen anyway when I did get seen the nurses were lovely but they wanted me to see the doctor as well so I needed to wait a bit longer, Dad was relieved of his duties and Lyn (my mum in law) came to wait with me hehe.
Doctor was amazing and did loads of checks on me nothing was jumping out at him, so what was wrong with me he asked me loads of questions but he didn't want me to go home, then my blood pressure dropped he admit me, he asked if I had been going to the loo, when I told him it was about 2 weeks ago since the last time I had been to the loo he was shocked, but I've not eaten much and most of the time if I did I was sick I answered. It turned out the co-codamol had made me constipated and I was getting really ill. I was shocked never would I have thought that was wrong with me and I would have never thought I could be so ill. So I was treated and had to stay in for a couple of days and then was sent home. I'm again starting to feel stronger it's taken me weeks to get to this point, it still takes me about 3 hours to come round in the morning but I get there.

I went and had my MRI scan last week and went back to Weston Park this week but unfortunately the results weren't on the system yet so I just need to wait for them, but while I was at Weston Park I had all the checks carried out for the trial I'm on ECG, bloods, blood pressure, I was also weighed and Dr Foran was concerned about how much weight I've lost on the other hand I'm pleased I've lost weight but as I've said before I don't recommend the diet, the thing is everything I do eat is slimming world basis so I'm not putting any fat into my body so weight has just dropped off me which is what I explained to Dr Foran, she asked me to start eating full fat cheese and whole milk, I asked the question when can I have my PEG out? I want to be able to take the kids swimming in the holidays get in the hot tub. So the answer was if you maintain your weight for the next three weeks then I will arrange for your PEG to be taken out, I was over the moon so the challenge has been set I've got to maintain my weight for the first time in my life I can't put weight on it's crazy when I joined Slimming World all them years ago I was 16 stone plus and got to target and was happy but it was hard work not to put the weight back on then when I was told they thought my lump could be cancer I ate everything and gained weight, now I weigh 9st 2lb and upto now couldn't stop the weight from dropping, I've been eating ice cream, whole milk and cheese and today I've eaten a vegetable chow mein from the Chinese I didn't eat  the peppers as I still struggle with lots of food making my mouth sting but I ate nearly all of it, you don't realise how lucky we really are until it's taken away from us do we.
I'm so lucky to be here,  we all are,  things should never be taken for granted and remember to always love and kiss your babies 💙💙💙

Unknown to me one of my friends started a fundraising page for us and my slimming world groups have been raising money to add to the fund, it has been giving to me and my family for us to go away with when I'm feeling better, I was so overwhelmed by the fact that so many people care so much about me and my family, thank you just doesn't seem big enough xxxxxxxxx

Then today Wendy my friend has been and painted my nails and they look amazing again I know I say it so many times but I am so lucky xxxxxx

Love and Best Wishes
